Review – Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. “Frenemy of my Enemy”

This week’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. involved everything finally starting to come to a head and becoming complicated for everyone involved. Fitz ends up meeting up with Coulson, after losing a tail, and is surprised to hear that Coulson wants to work with Ward after everything that  has transpired with him in the past. They plan to use Bakshi, whom has been brainwashed by Ward, in order to get close to the new heads of Hydra to try to get some information. Meanwhile, Simmons is asked by Mack, Bobbi, May, and the others at S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters to hack into Mike Peterson’s eye so that they can see what Coulson has been up to and figure out once and for all where he is at.

Meanwhile, Skye and Cal head down to Milwaukee in order to get some quality father/daughter time. It is actually a ploy to get Cal to stay away from Afterlife. Skye convinces her mother to let her go down with Cal to try to keep him calm when telling him that he is not allowed to come back to Afterlife with her. When she realizes that there is no way that he will keep cool, she reaches out to May to have some S.H.I.E.L.D. agents come and protect people from Cal hurting them when he finds out he is not allowed to come back to Afterlife. However, Skye is unaware that May is no longer working with Coulson at the moment.

Coulson and the gang, S.H.I.E.L.D., Hydra, and Skye and her new group all are in the building at the same time trying to find each other. Everyone ends up basically fighting each other and when Coulson finally finds Skye, Gordon shows up and teleports her away with Cal jumping in at the last-minute to go with them. It appears that Bakshi is not actually brainwashed when he starts to attack Mike and Skye’s friend Lincoln and takes them down. This leads to a moment of decision from Coulson where he surrenders to Mack and Bobbi. Overall, this episode set up a lot so we will see what next week has to offer.
