Review – Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: “One Door Closes”

Hello everyone! Megan_Highwind here with this week’s review of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. This week’s episode was much better, in my opinion, than the previous two weeks. I was excited to see more action and things really starting to happen with the main characters in the show. This episode works with flashbacks from when S.H.I.E.L.D. fell and the present and does a good job of showing what Bobbi and Mack are up to and how this version of S.H.I.E.L.D. differs from the current. Bobbi sneaks into Coulson’s office, with Mack’s help, to try to get the toolbox that Fury gave to Coulson a while back. Simmons ends up being able to knock Bobbi out while Mack protects Fitz from an explosion as more agents of the old S.H.I.E.L.D. come in to try to help Mack and Bobbi. They want to find out where Skye is and recruit her.

Meanwhile, Skye is in the cabin trying to learn to control her powers when she is approached by a mysterious man named Gordon who explains that he has also been changed by the mist and wants her to come with him in order to learn how to use her powers. She is apprehensive of him and asks him to leave when he tells her that he will know when she is ready to come with him(Creepy!). Bobbi and another agent catch up to Skye as she tries to escape and she ends up using her powers against him. After that incident, she realizes that she is horrified by her powers and calls on Gordon to take her with him to the place where others like them are.

Overall, I enjoyed this episode quite a bit. There was plenty of action and it feels as though the storyline is picking up again. I am excited to see where the show goes from here! Catch Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Tuesdays on ABC at 9/8c!
