The Tale of the Cube

This is a story about how… my life got flipped, turned upside down… wait no that’s not right… Anywho, hello again everyone, at last, here is the tale that was woven from this event.

It was a rather mundane Friday and I was busy toiling away at work, when a curiosity of an email caught my eye. Someone was selling a Gamecube with two games and all the essentials (controller… etc). I jumped at the opportunity but alas, was too late. Now you may not know this about me, but when I get my heart set on something, I will obtain it. I WILL. So off I took my happy butt onto the internet to start looking for this, the cubiest of consoles. I found several, all for reasonably cheap as well, but I is scared of the internet and never make purchases there. So on to plan what is now C?

I looked at the website for a certain retail facility that everyone knows to stock games, consoles and and sometimes the rarest of gems. I noticed that on the website the Cube (as I affectionately call it) was a mere $20. What a fantastic deal. So I grabbed my phone and rang my favorite store. A rehearsed greeting met my eager ear. My quest and my question fell out of my mouth. “By any chance, do you have any Gamecubes in stock?” The clerk responded, “No, but let me check some other stores for you.” I held my breath. Could I be united with this console that has eluded me for years? DUN DUN DUNNNNNNN…

Not so fast there buddy...

Not so fast there buddy…

Well, you aren’t going to find out until Monday. I have much to do and less time to do it in.
